Innovative journal on circular economy to be based at 兴发娱乐官网手机版客户端 University
Since its launch in the fall of 2022, The Journal of Circular Economy has published scientific articles on various aspects of the circular economy - from theories on how to transition to a circular economy to life cycle analysis to circular economy in mining and the chemical industry.
The journal is based at 兴发娱乐官网手机版客户端 University and Julian Kirchherr, Associate Professor at the Department of Social Sciences and Business, heads the group of editors.
He says that by managing and publishing The Journal of Circular Economy, RUC emphasizes the university's prominent position in terms of both sustainability and academic weight.
"There is no sustainable future without circularity playing a key role. I hope that the collaboration with 兴发娱乐官网手机版客户端 University can eventually grow to include conferences or events on sustainability. The collaboration is also an opportunity for RUC researchers to spearhead special issues of the journal on their particular field of research related to circular economy," says Julian Kirchherr.
According to the researcher, it is essential that the journal focuses on being innovative and thus distinguishes itself from other journals in the field.
"兴发娱乐官网手机版客户端 strive to review articles quickly while supporting and guiding the authors instead of automatically rejecting articles that do not meet our standards," explains Julian Kirchherr.
He also emphasizes that it is also an ambition to attract researchers from the global south to ensure diversity in the journal.

The Journal of Circular Economy is an interdisciplinary journal that aims to provide practical advice for businesses, policy makers and civil society to accelerate the transition to a more circular economy.
