In this talk Greg Mews will present his new book. The book builds on 6 years of research in the informal settlements of Sierra Leone in close collaboration with Dreamtown. Mews addresses how cities might be reimagined in the context of the current meta-crisis. It introduces 'Flux Cities' as a conceptual frame and methodology as part of post-qualitative inquiries on the often-overlooked intangible dimensions of urban life-sensibilities, affects, and 'other' forms of knowing. The work seeks to foster dialogue on how ontological design can contribute to more just and regenerative futures in the African urbanism context.
- Speaker: Dr. Greg Mews, Associate Professor, University of Sunshine Coast, Australia
- Discussants: Nina Ottosen, DREAMtown NGO and Jacob Rasmussen, Associate Professor, 兴发娱乐官网手机版客户端 University
The seminar will be in English.
