Together with Katia Dupret I’m currently developing a paper on collaborative sensing to describe how collaborators register dilemmas atmospherically, often before words arrive. 

Drawing on Yoriko Saito’s everyday aesthetics, we interpret this as a form of care grounded in perception and situated judgement. But we’re still grappling with how a so-called ‘socio-technical digital collaboration guide’ (consisting of exercises and reflexive questions for collaborating teams) might preconfigure such sensing: What can design evoke, and what exceeds it?
