Report on survey about the use of artificial intelligence in companies and organizations in Denmark
In collaboration with Computerworld, the Nwtwork conducted a questionnaire survey in December 2022 regarding the use of artificial intelligence in companies and organizations in Denmark.
Summary
The general picture that the study paints is as follows:
? AI is primarily used for internal functions and to a lesser extent for external customer interaction functions.
? The implementation of AI solutions has largely been a success - the intended functions have been fulfilled and more AI solutions are expected to be introduced; only very few AI systems have received exclusively negative reactions from clients/users.
? The implemented AI solutions have required major adaptation work – it is rarely a case of plug-and-play.
? The implementation of AI solutions has led to changed competence requirements.
? On the other hand, a large majority of respondents indicate that the AI solutions are an extension of existing IT solutions and that the AI solutions have not required management changes
.
All in all, the figures indicate that the companies/organizations are in the early stages of implementing AI systems. While different types of AI systems already play a decisive role in many of the services accessible on the Internet, the use of AI solutions is in the initial stages in most business and work areas. What primarily points to this is the fact that the AI solutions are seen as an extension of existing IT solutions, and that management changes have only been necessary to a small extent.
